A vision instrument, the CD Map is designed to optically interrogate
an area of tissue rather than selective individual points.
Distinct from the CD Scan and CD Ratiometer, it reports similar
results, but in the form of a colored map viewed on a CRT screen distinguishing normal
from abnormal areas via color differentiation.
The CD Map is especially useful in assisting cancer surgeons in
clearly define the surgical margins of tumors: real time during cancer surgery
without the use of extrinsic dyes, drugs, or other invasive agents.
